Homecoming 5 K Gets Course Correction

Now in its 37th year, the popular, family-friendly race will move from its traditional campus course to Hughes Stadium, providing runners with more of a cross-country feel. The Homecoming 5K, put on by the Department of Health and Exercise Science, is one of the largest 5K races in Northern Colorado, annually attracting more than 1,500 runners. Proceeds from the race support the Heart Disease Prevention Program of the Human Performance Clinical/Research Lab.

The Homecoming Race is an event for the whole family. Both runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate in the 5K race and children are invited to take part in the free Kids Fun Run at 9 a.m. led by CAM the Ram.
